There are some innovative training techniques out there, but stripping (no, it’s not what you think it is!) remains one of the most popular ways to revive a stale workout and shock your muscles.

Like it or not, your body will always do everything it can to not work harder in the gym. It is an incredible adaptive organism and will grow accustomed to almost anything you throw at it!

Bodybuilders have over the years sought new ways to fight this adaptation by shocking the body with high-intensity techniques to overcome stagnation and continue building muscle. One of the most popular methods to ramp up the intensity of weight lifting is the use of drop sets (also known as stripping or descending sets).
