Arnold Schwarzenegger is training again after he underwent open heart surgery.
In a recent social media post to his fans, the 70-year-old bodybuilding icon wrote: “The comeback continues. Training every day, doing reps, reps, reps. Your support has really pumped me up so I remain grateful to each and every one of you.”
Arnold’s surgery in March was aimed at removing an aging pulmonic valve which usually has a life expectancy of between 12 and 15 years. Suffering from a congenital heart defect, the former Mr. Olympia champion got his first replacement of the valve in 1997.
It would seem that the Austrian Oak has not lost his sense of humour while he is recovering from his heart surgery. In one of his workouts he posted online Arnold was wearing a cap with the phrase “There is no magic pill”.
