South Africa’s IFBB Pro bodybuilder Earl “The Beast” Abrahams will be gracing the stage of the inaugural Marume Classic to be held on 5 August at the Zimbabwe College of Music in the city of Harare.
Abrahams, who started competing as Pro bodybuilder this year, was invited as a special guest at the show organised by four-time Mr. Zimbabwe Givemore Marume.
In a media statement Marume said the idea behind the show was to develop the sport of bodybuilding in Zimbabwe.
“I would like to see this show grow to the extent where it will attract regional athletes in future,” he said. Categories at the Marume Classic will include Junior Men U/23 Bodybuilding, Senior Men Bodybuilding, Women’s Bikini, Men’s Physique and Men’s Fitness.
Abrahams competed in a total of three Arnold Classic competitions this year placing 7th at the Arnold Classic Australia, finishing 6th at the Arnold Classic in Brazil before taking 8th place at the Arnold Classic Africa in Johannesburg.
