RIP Monique van Emmenis

The local bodybuilding community lost another athlete this past weekend.

Monique van Emmenis from Sedibeng, who recently won the Mixed Couples category with Rudie Fourie at the IFBB National Championships, has passed away on Sunday, 24 September.

Monique was not only regarded as a top competitor but also served as a major inspiration for others who competed in the sport of bodybuilding. Monique and Rudie walked away with the honours in the Mixed Couples division at the IFBB Muscle Mulisha, IFBB Boksburg Classic and the IFBB National Championships this year. Described as a boundless bundle of energy Monique’s passion for the sport will forever remain an inspiration to others. While she has passed, her legacy will remain. Condolences to her husband Vernon, family, fellow athletes and friends.
