IFBB suspends NPC

There was a battle off the stage at the 2017 Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas.

There was a dispute between the NPC (National Physique Committee) and the IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) with the latter refusing their judges to participate in the 2017 Amateur Olympia, held at the weekend, due to the fact that the NPC were insisting that their judges take control of the event. When the NPC insisted on judging the Amateur Olympia the IFBB officials decided to pull out of the event en masse.

A press release was later issued by the IFBB International (not to be confused with Jim Manion’s IFBB Pro League) stating that the NPC have been suspended temporarily for the events that occurred at the Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas between the 13 to 14 September 2017.
