IFBB show to return to Kathu

The search for muscular perfection resumes this weekend with the return of the IFBB’s Kathu Classic to the iron ore capital of the Northern Cape province.

The Kathu Classic officially kicks off the bodybuilding season in that region with more IFBB events set to follow around the country. There will be talented athletes competing – so the organisers will be looking at making a proper show out of it at the Kalahari Country Club in Kathu on Saturday, 7 April 2018.

The guest poser at the show will be Corné van Niekerk who came 2nd in the Junior Men’s Bodybuilding Open category at the 2017 Arnold Classic Africa.

While there will be plenty of muscle on display, it’s not always about sheer size. It’s about what is known in bodybuilding circles as ‘the complete package’ – size, shape and conditioning.

Saturday’s pre-judging starts at 11:00 with the trophy presentations held at the main show from 15:30. Contact Ronelle van Rensburg on 072 568 7581 or John Shone on 082 432 9711 for more details.
