IBFF athletes shine in Italy

The bulging muscles and sculpted bodies of some of South Africa’s best athletes have stolen the show at the International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (IBFF) Mister & Miss Universe and Mr. Galaxy hosted in Taranto, Italy over the weekend.

Every member of the IBFF SA Team  came home with some hardware. If that is not all, IBFF Pro bodybuilder Misumzi Wakashe from East London finished in 2nd place in his first Pro show. “It’s only a matter of time before Misumzi will stand as winner on that podium,” said Arnie Williams, President of the IBFF in South Africa, who was extremely proud of the group of athletes who travelled to Italy to battle it out for top honours.

The results were:

Gerhardt Rathbone – 1st in the Masters Over 60

Ferdie Pieterse – 1st in the Masters Over 50

Henrich Fourie – 2nd in the Juniors U/23 and 4th in the Mr. Fitness (Board Shorts)
