Don’t miss the IFBB’s season opener

Athletes will travel to Potchefstroom in the North West this weekend to battle it out for top podium spots in season opener, the IFBB’s Champions Arise Fitness and Bodybuilding show.

Champions Arise is not only one of the official qualifying events for the upcoming 2018 Arnold Classic Africa but also forms part of the IFBB Platinum League where athletes can qualify to compete in a money show known as the Gentle Giant Classic. Over R50 000 in prizes will be up for grabs in Potch on Saturday, 24 March 2018.

Some of the competitors who stood out in last year’s event were Mohammed Panchbhaya in the Classic Bodybuilding category, Ladies Beach Bikini winners Edine Holloway and Chene-Leigh du Plooy, as well as Manny Jardine in the Senior Men up to and including 90kg division. Others who impressed bodybuilding fans were Juan Matthee, winner in the Senior Men Over 90kg line-up and Themba Vakele, winner in the Senior Men up to and including 80kg.

Who will reign supreme this year?
