Arnold Schwarzenegger promised he’d be back and he will be when the globally-renowned Arnold Classic series returns to Sandton in Johannesburg from 5 to 7 May.
Hosted at the Sandton Convention Centre the organisers of the multi-sport spectacle are promising fans a bigger and better event than last year when it debuted with more than 10,000 athletes competing in 45 different sports and events.
Apart from offering the very best in bodybuilding this year’s schedule has been increased to more than 50 events with more to do and more to see. A total of 12,000 athletes are expected to compete in the multi-sport event, the biggest on the African continent, over a period of 3 days.
The Arnold Classic Africa (ACA) will once again boast amateur and professional athletes from South Africa and all over the world granting local athletes the ideal opportunity to compete with their international counterparts on home soil.
Originally founded by Arnold in 1989 when he launched the inaugural event in Columbus, Ohio in the USA the franchise has grown in popularity and expanded to 6 continents around the globe.
